Lene and Luisa will lead a crash course in 1920s Charleston.

No prerequisites: This course is suitable for everyone, with or without dance experience.

Do you love the music of the 1920s and the aesthetic of the dances from that era?

Great! Shake off the dust of everyday life and dive in with us into the wonderful world of swing dancing! In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of the 1920s Partner Charleston—with its characteristic kicks and playful interaction as a couple.

The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to learn this easy-to-master swing dance or expand their repertoire of swing dances.

Together, we’ll work on the basics, simple figures, and the interplay of leading and following—always with a lot of joy in movement and set to the perfect swing music.

Here’s what you can expect:

 -Basic steps and technique of the 1920s Partner Charleston
 -First figures and combinations
 -Leading & following as a couple
 -Tips for fluid and relaxed dancing

You can participate alone or with a dance partner. If possible, we’ll switch partners regularly during the workshop.
